Building financial confidence in Cardiff since 2018
dificcatec was founded with a straightforward mission: to make financial education accessible, practical, and engaging for everyone in Cardiff. We recognised that despite its importance, money management remains something many people never formally learn.
What started as weekend workshops for local families has grown into a comprehensive educational centre offering structured programmes for all ages. Our founders, both experienced finance professionals and educators, combined their expertise to create courses that bridge the gap between academic theory and everyday financial decisions.
Today, we serve over 400 students annually across our various programmes, from young children learning the basics of saving to adults planning for retirement. Each course reflects our belief that financial literacy is a fundamental life skill that everyone deserves access to.
Every concept we teach connects directly to real financial situations. Our students leave with knowledge they can apply immediately, not just theoretical understanding.
Financial knowledge should not be exclusive. We design our courses to welcome learners from all backgrounds and adapt our teaching to different learning styles.
Financial landscapes evolve constantly. We update our curriculum regularly and encourage students to continue developing their knowledge beyond our courses.
Experienced professionals dedicated to sharing financial knowledge
Former financial advisor with 18 years of experience in wealth management. Robert specialises in investment education and retirement planning courses.
Qualified teacher and financial educator who developed our youth curriculum. Catherine makes money concepts engaging and memorable for young learners.
Chartered accountant with experience in small business consulting. Michael leads our business-focused courses and entrepreneurship workshops.
Traditional financial education often falls short because it focuses on abstract concepts without showing how they apply to daily decisions. Our methodology addresses this gap through structured programmes that combine instruction with hands-on practice.
Each course includes practical exercises, case studies based on real scenarios, and opportunities for students to work with actual financial tools and planning documents. Young learners engage through games and activities that make saving and budgeting tangible, while adult courses incorporate personal financial planning sessions.
We maintain small class sizes to ensure every participant receives individual attention. Our instructors track progress and provide personalised feedback, adjusting their approach based on how each student learns best.
Assessment happens throughout each programme, not just at the end. This allows us to identify areas where additional support might help and ensures students build confidence progressively as they master new concepts.
